Advent and Christmas 2025

When life is at its darkest
Take heart, attend to light.
Bravely seek joy and above all
Insist on hope. 

During the season of Advent we watch and wait for the light of Christ to come, to make all things new.  Please join us for worship this Advent and Christmas.  All are welcome.

Christmas Eve: Wednesday, December 24

  • 4 pm: Holy Eucharist with our Gospel Christmas Pageant (also livestreamed on YouTube) Service Bulletin.
     All children ages 3+ are invited to participate in the pageant. Meet at the church at 2:45pm on Christmas Eve, or contact Juliann Jones for more information. 
  • 7:30 pm: Holy Eucharist (7:00 special prelude music by our jazz ensemble and choir. Also livestreamed on YouTube.) Service Bulletin.
  • 11 pm: Holy Eucharist (10:30 special prelude music by organ and choir) Service Bulletin.

Listening Session with the Rector: Tonight at 7pm via Zoom

Our Rector, Joe Hensley, is convening a series of listening sessions with parishioners as we reflect on the past 20 years of worship and music ministry at St. George’s and ask for God’s guidance about how we worship together in the coming years. How does our variety of liturgies, languages, musical styles, times of worship and other factors connect with our mission and calling as a parish? These conversations will help us develop a parish-wide survey. Upcoming sessions will be held this Sunday, November 16 at 3:00 pm in Sydnor Hall and on Tuesday, 11/18, at 7 pm via Zoom.

Christmas Memorials and Thanksgivings

We invite you to give to St. George’s with our Christmas Memorials and Thanksgivings.

This is an opportunity to remember loved ones or give thanks for the blessings in your life. All gifts will support our ministries and outreach, helping us welcome all in the Love of God.

We will print the names of honorees in our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day bulletins.

Youth Group Santa Snacks – December 6

The St. George’s Youth Group will be selling snacks out of Sydnor Hall this Saturday, December 6 during and after the Christmas parade. We will have tables set up in our courtyard off of George Street.

Please help support St. George’s Youth Group by stopping in for some tasty treats while enjoying the festive event downtown.

Fall Clean-up, Saturday November 1

Join us this Saturday, November 1, from 9 am to 12 pm for our Fall Clean-up event. This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, care for our beloved church, and demonstrate our dedication to serving one another.
