Where are St. Georgians?
Wherever the Spirit calls us…Sudan, Honduras, Haiti and Appalachia.
The needs of the world are great and energy and love boundless!
Mission trips allow us to offer and communicate the love of God in Christ through hands on efforts and practical caring; in that spirit the World Mission Commission of St. George’s oversees, manages and raises funds for all national and international missions of our church; educates itself and the parish in matters of mission and potential mission; and financially supports the organization with whom we have a missionary relationship.
We have currently active missions in:
- Port-au-Prince, Haiti
- San Pedro Sula, Honduras (Our Little Roses Home for Girls)
Our past missions include:
- Red Shirt Village, South Dakota
- Juba, South Sudan
- Democratic Republic of the Congo
Our focus is building enduring relationships with those who live beyond the boundaries of our community, and in that process, we grow in Christ and in relationship with each other. Our commission has been all over the world, in person and in spirit. We have visited Haiti, Sudan, the Congo, and The Good Earth Farm in Ohio, and have continued to provide financial and spiritual support to Honduras. Please consider becoming involved in World Mission. There is a place for you and your great ideas!
