At St. George’s, we love and value our youth members as equals in our church community. Our Youth programming is designed for 6th-12th graders and focuses on helping youth to understand themselves and likewise their role in the church community and in the world in which they live. We have classes, Youth Group meetings, fun outings and events, and volunteer opportunities available. Moreover, all youth are welcome at any and all of our events.
It is our goal that our youth members go out into the world armed with a better understanding of themselves and where they stand on issues they will face, and with the knowledge that they are always welcome to return to the St. George’s family as adults on their own.
Under the leadership of Fr. Ethan Lowery and Amy Bogardus, we are trying something new this semester with youth group for grades 6-12. Youth from St. George’s, Trinity, and Christ Lutheran will gather together twice a month at the Campus Christian Center (1213 Dandridge St. near UMW) from 12-1:30 with lunch included. Upcoming dates are 8/23, 9/6, and 9/20. Building on the experience of our shared campus ministry, this Episcopal/Lutheran youth community will be a place of welcome, friendship, and fun. Contact Fr. Ethan for more information.
