At St. George’s, we prize learning, seeking to know God through Scripture, reason, tradition and human experience. A wide variety of educational opportunities for all ages are offered on Sundays and during the week throughout the year. Our “classes” are a comprehensive, intentional program of “Christian Formation”: a lifelong process of growing in our relationship with God, Christ, and the world around us.
Formation classes for all ages are offered most Sundays at 10 am between September and May. During the summer, activities and events are as announced.
- Adult Formation: St. George’s offers a comprehensive adult formation program that includes Bible and theology, spirituality and pastoral care, the impact of arts and literature on our lives, and practical ways to live out our commitment to our Baptismal promises.
- Youth Cafe (Grade 6 and up): Middle schoolers and high schoolers meet up with adult leaders. We travel in two groups to nearby cafes or rooms in the church for conversation.
- Children’s Formation: Montessori-based faith exploration
Age 3 – K: Godly Play, a Montessori-based program of stories, wondering, and expressive art or play.
Grades 1 – 2: Seasons of the Spirit, an interdenominational program that follows the same schedule of readings used in church, with age-appropriate story and crafts.
Grades 3 – 5: Seasons of the Spirit, adapted for older children
In addition to these Formation activities, St. George’s offers several other opportunities for deepening one’s relationship with Christ.
