
The Beau Soir Ensemble will perform a free concert at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Fredericksburg, Virginia on Sunday, April 28 at 3 pm. This free concert is part of St. George’s Chamber Series and will include works by Johann Gottlieb Graun, Maurice Ravel, David Bruce, and Lucas Richman.
The Beau Soir Ensemble is a flute, viola, and harp trio dedicated to the performance of standard and contemporary repertoire spanning a variety of genres. Musicians are Ruth Wicker Schaaf (viola), Carole Bean (flute, alto flute and bass flute), and Michelle Myers Lundy (harp). Known for their exciting performance style and diverse programming, this ensemble continues to attract a strong fan base through its acclaimed performances and unique audience interaction, which includes background, analysis, historical information, and descriptions of performance techniques within each performance. Beau Soir Ensemble’s goal is to make classical music accessible and enjoyable, inspiring a new generation of music lovers.
Located at 905 Princess Anne Street in historic downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia, St. George’s Episcopal Church offers a wide range of concerts throughout the year featuring local and out of town musicians.
