For Palm Sunday, we began our 9 am and 11:15 am services with a joyful procession. With palms at the ready, we sang “Holy, holy, holy Lord”.
Thank you to everyone who participated and all who helped prepare for this Sunday.

Register today to join us for our fall retreat at Shrine Mont. Join us October 11 – 13 as we gather for fellowship, fun, and friendship.
Shrine Mont is located in beautiful Orkney Springs, a community in western Shenandoah County, Virginia. It is a conference and retreat center owned by the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia. Additionally, Shrine Mont is the perfect location for spending time in community and making new friends. Adults, youth, and children alike look forward to our retreat weekend every year.
Our theme for this year is “Speak to the Earth and It Will Teach You” and we will explore how we celebrate being part of the family of God. Click here to learn more and register.
On Sunday, March 24, we welcomed the Rt. Rev. Susan E. Goff. Bishop Goff preached at the 7:45 am, 9 am, and 11:15 am services. She also led a discussion at our morning Adult Forum. Additionally, she presided over confirmations, receptions, and reaffirmations at our 11:15 am service. Overall, we had 26 confirmations, receptions, and reaffirmations. We closed out the celebration with a reception lovingly prepared by last year’s confirmation class. The reception also featured special flower arrangements by our flower guild.
Thank you to everyone who made this wonderful day possible!

Consider the tons of plastic we use and be aware it often ends up in our oceans. It is estimated that at the rate we are going there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean. It can feel like a problem too big to address but:
This is just a start; please add to this list and share.
I know I for one will be surprised to see how much plastic I use without thinking.
Giving up plastic for Lent could make us more conscious of our connection to our surroundings. It could make us more conscious of our decisions. It could make us better stewards of God’s creation.
Lent is a time for reflection and for trying to get closer to God to understand what he wants for us and from us.
What if giving up plastic for Lent helped?
