Free Jazz Concert at St. George’s

February 7, 2022 by St. George's Leave a Comment

Jazz ConcertThe St. George Voices and the St. George Jazz Ensemble will perform a free concert at St. George’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, February 20 at 3 pm. The concert is part of the church’s Chamber Concert Series and features St. George’s musicians.

This afternoon concert features well-known hits by Duke Ellington, Henry Mancini, Peter Eldridge, and more. Jazz arrangements of pieces by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Burton Lane, and Frank Loesser round out this eclectic blend of vocal and instrumental jazz.

The concert is free with donations accepted at the door. Masks are required for all over the age of 2 – vaccinated and unvaccinated. Seating will be staggered to observe social distancing.

Located at 905 Princess Anne Street in historic downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia, St. George’s Episcopal Church offers a wide range of concerts throughout the year featuring local and out of town musicians. The nave’s lush acoustics provide the perfect backdrop for “beautiful music in a beautiful space”.

For more information, contact (540) 373-4133 or music@stgeorgesepiscopal.net. To learn more about St. George’s concert series, visit www.stgeorgesepiscopal.net/music/concerts.
