St. George’s Giving Tree

November 22, 2017 by St. George's Leave a Comment

givingtree

This year, we will be serving youth from Stafford Junction and from Homeless Youth Services—Stafford County. Take a tag from the tree in the Narthex and please return gifts by Dec. 10. Directions on the tag will note whether the gift needs to be wrapped or left unwrapped.

From the Homelessness Services Coordinator in Stafford County:

“Thank you all for helping and thinking of our students.  Thought I’d share my experience thus far as I began to ask students for their wishes/needs:  I met with one school yesterday and when I began to ask what their wishes were, the majority of these students looked puzzled.  It sent chills down my body because many if not all said “I was never asked what I wanted for Christmas.”

Enjoy making a child’s wish come true this Christmas!
