If you are away from St. George’s for an extended period of time this summer, you may want to consider our electronic option for your church giving. We can easily draft your pledge donation for any length of time. All we need is a form completed and a voided check so we can set it up. Two examples follow:
Got the picture ? You tell us when you will be away, what specific periods to cover electronically, the amounts and then provide your checking information. It’s one way to have more time in preparing for a busy summer and at the same time remember St. George’s.

Effective May 29, 2016 we will move to our summer Sunday schedule, with services at 7:45 a.m., 10 a.m., and 5:30 p.m. With our main Sunday service at 10:00 a.m., we will alternate weekly between a 9:00-style service and an 11:00-style service. Learn more about our services here.
The choirs and chamber ensembles are off during the summer. The Jazz Ensemble will join the 10 a.m. service three times through the summer. Check the calendar for specific dates, or This Sunday at St. George’s for specific information.
Compline at 8 p.m. continues through May 29 and then will take place on second Sundays through the summer, also at 8 p.m.
Learn about St. George’s One Body Response Team at a covered dish reception and information session on May 21, 6-8 p.m. at The Creek House, home of Barbara and Mac Willis.
The team coordinates over the course of several weeks to help out fellow St. Georgians with a meal, a visit, or even a thoughtful card. While it’s not a huge time commitment for any one person, it means a lot to people who benefit from it.

On Sunday, May 15, join our rector and Ralph Powell at 10 a.m. in Sydnor Hall for an introductory session on financial planning during Adult Forum. There are many ways that to save money in taxes by making charitable donations. This includes annual gifts and gifts from estates, but there are many other examples. Whether you are making your own plans or are working with family members as they make theirs, this presentation will explore ways to give and save and be faithful stewards of God’s gifts.
