Your prayers and presence are invited as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and remember the life of our sister in Christ, Janet L. Fray, who departed this life on June 18, 2016.
Janet was active at St. George’s; she was a past member of the Jazz Ensemble Choir and was an active member of the greeters ministry, one of the first smiling faces a newcomer would encounter at St. George’s on a Sunday morning.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at St. George’s with a reception following. Read her complete obituary here.
Lord Jesus Christ, we commend to you our sister who was reborn by water and the Spirit in Holy Baptism. Grant that her death may recall to us your victory over death, and be an occasion for us to renew our trust in your Father’s love. Give us, we pray, the faith to follow where you have led the way; and where you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, to the ages of ages. Amen.
What a tragic loss to your community. Janet was a spark for all who met her. We are cousins in Massachusetts, who visited your beautiful church briefly, several years ago. I am sure that you have been a comfort to the Fray family, whom we are praying for in our services, here.
