“Stewardship” is a general term used to talk about how we are “stewards” of the resources we have received from God. Stewardship applies to time, talent, and treasure (financial and material resources). Each fall, we have a “stewardship campaign,” in which everyone is invited to make a financial giving pledge. These pledges support 90% of our annual operating budget. Stewardship also includes planned gifts that go beyond the annual budget. Have you included St. George’s in your will or thought about making a charitable gift from your IRA (which can reduce your tax liability)? Then you’ve just practiced some of what we mean by “stewardship.”
