Wonder in All
Our stewardship theme this year at St. George’s is Wonder in All. These are words you hear during every baptism in The Episcopal Church. For many, this is also a favorite prayer.
Give them an inquiring and discerning heart,
the courage to will and to persevere,
a spirit to know and to love you,
and the gift of joy and wonder in all your works. Amen.
Every member of St. George’s is invited to spend all year together exploring – and naming – the wonder in all God’s works at our parish.
Tell us and share with one another…where do you see the wonder in our shared ministries? The wonder of impact in our church and with our neighbors? The wonder of us living deeply into our baptismal covenant? The wonder of our music and worship?
Take a look within your own heart. All around you. And at our neighbors.
Where do you see a sign of God’s wonder?
Where is there a sign of God calling you – and St. George’s – to more?
The wonders in all of St. George’s have great impact for us and for our community. We will highlight the increasing impact of St. George’s near and far beginning in the coming weeks. Additionally, we will mail out pledge cards for annual giving to support the ministries of St. George’s at the end of September and bless the returned cards on Sunday, October 20.
Whoever you are and wherever you find yourself, the wonder of you is welcome at St. George’s Episcopal Church. We are so glad you’re here.
