Giving to St. George’s
“Tell out my soul the greatness of the Lord!” -Luke 1:46
When the angel informs Mary that she will bear a child, Jesus, who will change the world, Mary proclaims her joy: “Tell out my soul! The Greatness of the Lord!” We invite you to proclaim your joy through your sharing an estimate of giving to St. George’s in the coming year through our 2026 Generosity Campaign.
In our ministry together, we hear countless stories of how the creative spark in people connects with the call to serve God and love our neighbor. We hear countless stories of people being connected with community and with God’s grace. In joyful response to God’s greatness and the ways that greatness is revealed through the stories of our ministry together at St. George’s, we ask you to prayerfully consider your giving to St. George’s and complete an Estimate of Giving (financial pledge of support).
As you pray about your giving, please see this Narrative Budget which tells the story of how our finances connect with our ministries and shows the importance of your giving in that story.
How to make your pledge?
- Pray about how God is calling you to be generous in gratitude for God’s abundance and in support of our ministry at St. George’s in the coming year.
- Come up with a giving amount and frequency that reflects your gratitude as well as your resources and helps you to stretch out in faith.
- Consider your estimate as a meaningful proportion of your income, growing as you are able toward or beyond the 10% tithe that God prescribes in Holy Scripture.
- Complete the pledge card sent to you in the mail or available online.
- On Sunday, October 26, we will bless all pledge cards received for Ingathering Sunday. We welcome your pledge anytime.
