This small, ecumenical, congenial group is open to all. Gathering for 90 minutes at 10 a.m. on the second, fourth, and fifth Thursdays of every month in the Elsie Lewis room, everyone is welcome to join in. The group prays by name for whomever prayer has been requested. The group also reads and reflects on the gospel passage appointed for the following Sunday service and engages in Lectio Divina (Holy Reading) using Thomistic, Franciscan, Ignatian or Augustinian guidelines (directions provided). This is a prayerful method of bible study that involves reading the given scriptural passage, reflecting/meditating on it, responding in thought/prayer, and resting/contemplating with God. After individual reflection and prayer, the group gathers for a time to share insights gained. (Sharing is optional).
Please join in whenever you are able. All are welcome to be part of this basic church ministry.
