Stories, Laughter, and Cookies
Our parish gathered for a celebration on Saturday, May 5 in Market Square for an afternoon of listening and sharing around the campfire. Stephen Hu got us in the cowboy spirit with some songs and even led a sing-a-long.
St. Georgians from all generations, services, and ministries took turns sharing their thoughts and stories about our church and community. We had separate campfires for:
- Within These Walls: Experiences from within the walls of the church
- Beyond These Walls: Sharing stories from outside our church—near or far
- Hopes and Dreams: Ideas for our future together
- Young ‘Uns: A special campfire for those 18 and younger—no adult speakers
Special thanks to Diane Powell for baking and decorating cowboy hat and boot cookies and to the event organizers Janice Brunson, Sheryl Stroud Bryant, Marilyn Farrington, and Brian Vaughan.
