Glory Ridge is a camp nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville, N.C., for teenagers to build a closer relationship with God, have fun, and meet other people with shared interests. The Glory Ridge camp was built on a vision; its mission is being a place of welcome, worship, work, prayer and simplicity where the presence of Jesus Christ heals lives and transforms communities.

We will be discussing what the mission trip is all about, our expectations and needs which need to be met to make the trip successful, and more at this informational meeting. Parents and teens please attend.
What is the Glory Ridge Mission Trip?
Each summer, youth from St. George’s go on a fun mission trip to Glory Ridge Camp to worship God in a new environment. During the day, we become the hands and feet of Christ as we work in small teams doing home repairs such as yard work, painting, building ramps, replacing roofs, and other rehabilitation projects in the surrounding community. But then we return to camp for games, fun, meals, and informal worship.
St. George’s Youth raise funds for the trip each year. Donations are always welcome and can be dropped off at the church office. You can also donate online: Click this link and select “Glory Ridge” from the dropdown menu under “My Donation.”
How else can you support Glory Ridge?
The Youth will hold a Silent Auction in Sydnor Hall after all services on 4/28/2019 and on 5/5/2019. We are currently looking for donations of vacation home use to auction off to parishioners, sporting event tickets, and musical performance donations from adult bands. We are not asking for donations of goods at this time. Please consider donating if you are able, and be sure to come bid on the items! If you are not interested in bidding, donations will (as always) be greatly appreciated.
Sonic Spirit Night
Our friends at Sonic are sponsoring a Spirit Night for the Glory Ridge team on Thursday, May 23rd. The Sonic at 240 McWhirt Loop in Stafford (near GEICO on Rt 17) will donate 15% of all sales to the mission trip between 5-8:00 pm. No flier is needed, just come and enjoy a delicious meal while also supporting the Glory Ridge trip.
