Glory Ridge is a camp nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville, N.C., for teenagers to build a closer relationship with God, have fun, and meet other people with shared interests. The Glory Ridge camp was built on a vision; its mission is being a place of welcome, worship, work, prayer and simplicity where the presence of Jesus Christ heals lives and transforms communities.
Glory Ridge 2019- Coming Soon!
We have our date secured for the summer of 2019. We will be attending Glory Ridge June 30-July 6, 2019. Please mark your calendars and save the date! More details and the sign up form will come closer to the event. We will be teaming up with the church we’ve worked with in years past, St. Francis Episcopal Church in Greensboro, NC. This year we will be inviting rising 8-12th graders to attend.
St. George’s Youth
Each summer, youth from St. George’s go on a fun trip to Glory Ridge to worship God in a new environment. During the day, we become the hands and feet of Christ as we work in small teams doing home repairs such as yard work, painting, building ramps, replacing roofs, and other rehabilitation projects in the surrounding community. But then we return to camp for games, fun, meals, and informal worship.
St. George’s Youth raise funds for the trip each year. Donations are always welcome and can be dropped off at the church office. You can also donate online: Click this link and select “Glory Ridge” from the dropdown menu under “My Donation.”
