Join us in Sydnor Hall on Thursday, June 30 at 6:30 p.m. for American Denial, a documentary exploring the work of Swedish Nobel Laureate Gunnar Myrdal as he researched Jim Crow laws in the American South in the late 1930s. The film explores how denial, cognitive dissonance, and implicit bias persist and shape all of our lives. Co-sponsored by Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site). Eat before you come, or bring your supper and something to drink with you. The nursery will be open for little ones, and pre-K and up can enjoy a fun flick upstairs in McGuire Hall. Save the date for movie nights on July 28 and August 25 as well. Call the church office at 540-373-4133 for more information.

One Body Response Team Reception
Learn about St. George’s One Body Response Team at a covered dish reception and information session on May 21, 6-8 p.m. at The Creek House, home of Barbara and Mac Willis.
The team coordinates over the course of several weeks to help out fellow St. Georgians with a meal, a visit, or even a thoughtful card. While it’s not a huge time commitment for any one person, it means a lot to people who benefit from it.
Please RSVP to Kate Hardy at kashardy@gmail.com or respond to this evite.
