Where are St. Georgians? 

Whereever the Spirit calls us...Sudan, Honduras, Haiti and Appalachia.

The needs of the world are great and energy and love boundless!

Mission trips allow us to offer and communicate the love of God in Christ through hands on efforts and practical caring; in that spirit the World Mission Commission of St. George’s oversees, manages and raises funds for all national and international missions of our church; educates itself and the parish in matters of mission and potential mission; and financially supports the organization with whom we have a missionary relationship.

St. George's World Mission Commission has had a busy 2011!  Our focus is building relationships with those who live beyond the boundaries of our community, and in that process, we grow in Christ and in relationship with each other.  Our commission has been all over the world this year, in person and in spirit.  We have visited Haiti, Honduras, Sudan, The Good Earth in Ohio, and the Giving Garden in Richmond.  We have had participation from all age groups: children, teens, young adults, and full-fledged adults (though always young at heart!).  Next year's plans include a return to South Dakota and work with the Virginia Indians.  Please consider making it your New Year's Resolution to become involved in World Mission.   There is a place for you and your great ideas!
