Congregational Care
It is our mission to reach out and journey with those we know who are experiencing life transition or crisis.
Our Feeding Ministry
Community Dinners- Community Dinners, organized by Micah, provide free meals for the community almost every night of the year. There is a meal at St. George’s every Monday; we share our family room and kitchen with other churches to make this possible. Our congregation provides food, and service for the third and fourth Mondays of the month.
Feed My Sheep Garden – A garden on our grounds that contributes fresh food to our Food Pantry. Volunteers plant, care for and harvest from the garden each spring and summer.
Food for Life – A feeding program for the elderly in need in our community offered by our local food bank. Volunteers greet and distribute food boxes once a month from our building.
The Table – Our market-style food pantry provides food to those in need in our community. Volunteers order, unload cases, arrange the food and welcome our guests to take what they need and what they like. The Table is open on Tuesdays in Sydnor Hall beginning at 10 am.
Sandwiches for the homeless - Volunteers meet monthly to make 75-100 sandwiches and pack brown bags to be handed out by Micah Ecumenical Ministries homelessness ministry.
