Pastoral Care

At St. George’s, pastoral care is a team ministry of clergy and church members working together.  This model of shared ministry allows us to offer greater support and care for our large congregation.  Much of the day-to-day care and support would not be possible without the dedication of many members.  It is our mission to reach out and journey with those we know who would welcome a visit or who are experiencing life transition or crisis.

Our clergy visit those in the hospital on a rotational basis as follows:  Mondays - The Rev. Gay M. Rahn; Wednesdays - The Rev. Pam Webb; Thursdays - The Rev. Carey D. Chirico.

You can assist us!  Please let us know if you, a friend, a relative or an acquaintance would appreciate being contacted.  Simply contact the church office or complete this form.

The mission of the Congregational Care Commission is to be intentionally supportive of minds, bodies and spirits of fellow St. Georgians and to support the work of the clergy.  Because the current ten-member team found it difficult to meet their commitment to care for one another on a week to week basis, they formed a new initiative, the 75-member One Body Response Team, developed to provide more effective means of carrying out the commission’s objectives.
