Stewardship: The Spirit of Giving Together
St. George’s thanks everyone for all their contributions. We are inviting your good faith pledges of support for 2018: financial as well as contributions of time and talent. By pledging now, you take a step in faith and help the church’s annual budget planning.
The process is simpler than in previous years. Your sealed pledge card will be available during Sunday services at an information table staffed by one of our stewardship volunteers. Take it with you and return it later, or just return it on site in a sealed envelope. The cards will also be available during the week in the church office. You can pledge online or ask that we mail your card. For newcomers, blank cards are available.
Our theme is tied to the theme for Christian formation (Communion: The Spirit of Living Together). Part of being in communion is sharing in the stewardship and care of our parish. We share our money as part of our “offering and sacrifice to God.” It also enables the church to pay its expenses so St. George’s can offer ministry with the congregation and the wider world. We share our time and talent, because every member is a minister of the church and has a role to play. By giving time, talent, and treasure together, we live out our mission as one greater Body of Christ.
Below are several tools and resources to help you as you discern how you are called to participate in stewardship, the spirit of giving together. We give not just to raise funds. We give as a spiritual practice, together, to raise faith.
