Cruising Down The River - June 24, 2007

Following the 10:00 a.m. service on June 24, 2007, twenty-seven of us gathered at Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg, donned life jackets and carried canoes or kayaks down to the Rappahannock River. With assistance from the staff of Virginia Outdoor Center, we got our canoes and kayaks into the Rappahannock and began our trip down the river.

We spent a leisurely two hours getting to our final destination, the City Dock, pausing along the way to have a picnic lunch and cooling off by swimming or wading in the water.

We are grateful to Bill Micks and Virginia Outdoor Center for providing this gift to St. George's.
