OUR LITTLE ROSES, HONDURAS MISSION TRIP 2004
Thanks to everyone who helped make our trip to Our Little Roses in Honduras a huge success!
Our group of nine missionaries spent a week and a half at Our Little Roses home for girls
in San Pedro Sula. We gave and received lots of love, renewed friendships, and developed
new and lasting relationships with the girls and staff members. Our activities included:
dancing, reading, make-up and skin care, playing basketball, guitar, hosting an ice cream
social, treating 70 girls to lunch at Burger King, building an awning for the kitchen,
making beaded jewelry, jumping rope, shelving and organizing library books, teaching
the principal of Our Holy Family School how to access the Internet, advising the school
about curriculum, attending a local church service with the girls, visiting and providing
supplies for a women's housing development, yoga classes....and having an all round great time.
Thanks to the generous contributions of St. Georgians, we were able to provide money that will
be used to buy new mattresses for all of the girls' beds. You all made this trip possible with
your love, prayers, and support. We are truly grateful.
Stay tuned for a more detailed presentation this fall. We are already looking forward to next year!

We had a successful day of activities. Yoga, jewelry making were a big success and the
construction project / a roof to block the sun at a large kitchen window / is well underway.
Our teenager, Oscar is having a great time. We are all happy and blessed with good health.
Our gift of extra money we raised will be used to buy new mattresses for the younger girls' beds,
This was a real need and we were excited to see the money used in this way.
All the attached pictures are from today except for Power Chicken which was taken Sunday evening.
More later.
Your Mission Team.
Today we also went to the movies with the girls to see Harry Potter and walked back which was a fun
adventure. Tomorrow will be more activities and fun.

Hello from Our Little Roses! Our trip down went very smoothly and we arrived on time
and safely. We were even greeted by a young lady holding an OLR sign when we got to
customs at the airport. Today was our first afternoon of activities with Yoga, "makeup"
for the younger girls and a shopping trip for Mark to get materials for our building project.
I will be trying to send some pictures tomorrow. In the meantime, keep us in your prayers.
Ben for--- Your OLR Mission Team.
