All that we are, and all that we have, comes from God, still belongs to God and is best used for God's glory. As caretakers, or 'stewards' we should strive to use those resources wisely to further the kingdom of God here on earth.

"Proportionate giving" is designating a percentage of our personal resources, including time, talent and money, we will commit to do the Lord's work. By this commitment, we demonstrate our thankfulness for the love God has shown us through His many blessings, and especially through His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. In this way we offer "ourselves, our souls, and our bodies..."

The Biblical standard by which we measure our offerings is the Tithe (10%). This worksheet is designed as a means to determine: (1) your current level of pledged financial support to St. George's, and (2) three options for considering next year's pledge.

This worksheet is intended for personal use with prayerful consideration in the privacy of your home. It should not be returned to the church. On the attached PDF file is an easy reference chart with percentages (from 1% to 10%) of annual income already calculated for you.
