Congregational Care Mission Statement
Our mission is to be intentionally supportive of the minds, bodies and spirits of
the members of the St George’s Church family. Our work is the embodiment of Christ’s
love for us and a demonstration of our commitment to care for one another.
Congregational Care Meetings
Congregational Care meets the third Monday of each month at 1:00 p.m. in Faulkner Hall
Ongoing projects of the Congregational Care Commission for 2007 and beyond
Congregational Prayer Cycle—Praying for and contacting each member of St George’s
by mail to indicate our prayerful concern for their daily lives.
Intentional prayer for those who are in need in our parish by providing prayer cards in the Narthex,
overseen by Janis Hales, for people to use in their private prayers on behalf
of fellow members.
Church is reserved twice a week for intentional prayer (Monday and Friday mornings from 8AM to 9AM)
Meal Support Ministry - meals are delivered to those who need support.
Hospital and home visits from members of the Congregational Care Commission, followed
by cards and calls.
Flower Delivery - coordinated by Rebecca and Michael Straley
Quarterly visits with Eucharist to Chancellor Village residents followed by a social
Lay Eucharistic Visitors - 2 times a month for homebound parishioners
